Vista Vidikovac has one great asset and knows it: a terrace hanging over the Adriatic on the coastal path between the Old Town and Mogren Beach. “Vidikovac” means viewpoint, and the restaurant delivers exactly that, with the sea below, Sveti Nikola island across the water, and the sunset happening more or less at your table.
The kitchen serves Montenegrin and Mediterranean cooking, and the location makes it the natural pause on the most-walked stretch of coast in Budva: out to the Dancing Girl statue, down to Mogren for a swim, then up the steps for lunch or a sundowner on the way back.
Timing is the local knowledge worth having. The terrace is at its best in late afternoon and early evening, when the light softens and the beach crowds thin; in peak season, turning up at sunset without waiting means arriving a little before the show starts.
Prices and hours shift with the season, so check the website or simply look at the board as you walk past; you will be walking past anyway.
