Rafailovići is the quiet ending of Bečići beach: a former fishing village at the eastern end of the sand where the big hotels give way to guesthouses, small family-run places, and a line of konobas with tables close enough to the water to hear it.

That is the whole pitch, and for the right traveller it is a strong one. You are directly on one of the best beaches on the coast, but at its calm end; you eat fresh fish a few steps from your room; and the price of a waterfront bed here is friendlier than the equivalent in Budva or the Bečići resorts. The village-scale feel survives even in season, which on this stretch of coast is quietly remarkable.

Connections are better than the sleepy atmosphere suggests. The beach promenade runs straight into Bečići and its full resort amenities, central Budva is a short bus or taxi ride, and the walking tunnel at the eastern end leads through to Kamenovo beach in a few minutes.

It suits couples, quieter travellers and anyone optimising for value plus beach access over nightlife. If your evenings end with dinner and a walk along the water rather than a DJ, Rafailovići is arguably the best-judged base on the riviera.
